Ridgepoint Wines is a small estate winery on
the Niagara Escarpment, dedicated to the production of premium and
ultra-premium wines from estate-grown Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Pinot Noir grapes.
Ridgepoint Wines
is also responsible for the first commercial bottling of Nebbiolo
(source of the renowned Barolo wines of the Piedmont region of
Italy) in
Ontario.

The Ridgepoint Wines vineyards were planted in 1995,
and has 18 acres (of the total 20 acres) planted to premium vinifera (winemaking) grapes. More than half is planted to three
red varieties, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ridgepoint Wines began its introduction to the
wine-drinking public with a range of consumer-friendly whites
and 'quaffing reds' in the fall of 2003.
