Harvest
The Pinot Noir grapes in the Ridgepoint Wines 2002 Pinot Noir were harvested
from our escarpment estate vineyards on Cherry Avenue above Vineland
(Niagara Region, Ontario).
Winemaking
Grapes were de-stemmed into open top fermentation containers with
hand push down of the cap. After an extended fermentation with
the grape skins the wine was pressed and aged in small oak casks.

Winemaker's notes
This wine will greet you with friendly aromas of red cherry/
liquorice. The aroma is further enhanced with cloves, cedar and hints
of eucalyptus. The fine tannin backbone is followed by flavours of
which remind one of under wood.
Food pairings
Try with duck with cherry sauce and mushroom risotto or mushroom
ragout on crostini.
